Advertising & Sponsorship Policy

wxdecoder is free to use. To keep it running we show a small number of clearly labeled sponsorships and product picks. This page explains exactly how that works.
No tracking ads
We do not run behavioral or personalized advertising. Placements are static content rendered by our own server. There are no third-party ad scripts, no advertising cookies, and no cross-site tracking. This is consistent with our Privacy Policy. If we ever add a third-party ad network, we will update this page and our Privacy Policy first, and request consent where required.
We do use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages and tools are useful. It is a measurement script, not an ad script: every advertising feature is switched off (Google Signals, ad personalization and advertising cookies are denied for every visitor), and the data is not linked to Google Ads or used to target anyone. See the Privacy Policy for what it does and does not collect.
Clear labeling and disclosure

- Affiliate and referral links (for example a headset we recommend) may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you, and are disclosed as such.
How much, and where
A page shows at most two placements. They never sit between you and the weather: METAR, TAF, flight category, and decoding always come first.
Editorial independence
Paying for a placement does not change weather data, decoding, flight-category logic, or which airports we cover. Sponsorship buys a labeled slot, nothing more. We decline placements that could be mistaken for an official weather product or a go/no-go recommendation.
