OBSTRUCTIONS THAT PENETRATE THE 8:1 APPROACH/DEPARTURE SURFACE MUST BE LOWERED OR REMOVED; B. OBJECTS THAT PENETRATE THE OBJECT IDENTIFICATION SURFACE (AS DEFINED BY ADVISORY CIRCULAR (AC) 150/5390-2C, PAR. 217 AND FIG. 2-32 MUST BE MARKED AND/OR LIGHTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AC 70/7460-1. C. NO OTHER APPROACH/DEPARTURE PATHS MAY BE USED UNLESS PENETRATING OBSTRUCTIONS ARE CLEARED, LOWERED, AND MARKED AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. 2. THE FATO AND SAFETY AREA MUST REMAIN CLEAR OF OBJECTS THAT EXCEED TWO INCHES ABOVE THE FATO SURFACE ELEVATION. 3.
